 Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Dr. Jewel Taylor, has stated that the leadership style of the Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, is worthy of emulation, citing the inclusion of women in governance and other great exploits. The Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, has charged the people of the state to continue to live in peace while they do not relent in sharing credible intelligence information with security agencies. The unflinching support by the residents is helping in eradicating crimes in the state, Governor Bello said. Bello gave this charge at the 8-day Fidau prayers in memory of Hajia Hajarah Momoh, the late mother of the state’s Accountant General, Jibrin Momoh. Governor Bello orders immediate removal of roadblocks mounted by illegal tax collectors

  Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello, has ordered that roadblocks within the state, where illegal taxes are collected, should be removed with immediate effect. The Governor, who was on a trip to Okene, Kogi State, on Thursday morning, ran into a long Tran into traffic, alighted from his car and ordered one of his security aides to supervise the removal of the roadblock in the area after interactions with the illegal tax collectors. Governor Bello said the illegal roadblocks have caused so much hardship to the road users especially the transporters.
